We are delighted to announce that The Rich North Sea and Vattenfall have officially signed to continue their longstanding partnership. As dedicated partners in the pursuit of nature improvement in the North Sea, we continue to collaborate on innovative solutions that enhance the biodiversity and ecological resilience of this unique ecosystem.
One of the ongoing projects is our joint research within Vattenfall's Hollandse Kust Zuid wind farm. Here, we are implementing various nature-inclusive design measures, including rock reefs serving as erosion protection, water replenishment holes in turbine foundations, and innovative monitoring techniques. These initiatives aim to support and promote marine life while enabling sustainable energy generation.
The results of these projects will not only contribute to our understanding of the impact of offshore wind farms on marine ecosystems but also promote best practices for future developments.
